TP53 and cancer: Broad grouping of the functional analysis suggests that resveratrol associated genes are mainly linked to cancer-related and signaling cascade pathways with potential mechanistic underpinnings, including (i) control of cancer cell proliferation and survival via MAPK/p53 mediated cell cycle control, (ii) control of neural or cancer stem cell development via neurotrophin signaling, and (iii) regulation of gene transcription by Wnt/b-catenin signaling.
