Compared with healthy controls (n = 120), stage 5 CKD patients (n = 121) and PTX patients (n = 501) had lower hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (Hct), serum albumin (Alb), alanine amino transferase (ALT), aspartate amino transferase (AST), direct bilirubin (DBIL), and indirect bilirubin (IBIL) levels.
