The Kaplan-Meier plotter web-based tool available on KMplot.com was used to analyze a database of 2,437 NSCLC patient cases [39] to assess whether patient survival outcome correlated with expression of the α7 nAChR subunit which is functionally implicated in lung cancer progression, or α3 and α5 nAChR subunits which were identified to correlate with lung cancer incidence in GWAS studies [27–29]. Here, CHRNA7 is linked to lung cancer.
