Sabatier et al and Schalper et al concluded that PD-L1 upregulation was associated with better survival in patients with breast cancer especially basal-like breast cancer (express genes characteristic of the outer or basally located epithelial layer of the mammary gland)[31–33], while Bertucci et al considered PD-L1 overexpression in inflammatory breast cancer orrelated with better response to chemotherapy[30]. The gene discussed is CD274; the disease is breast cancer.
