Although there is an apparent disparity between lowered phosphorylation of the CAD-risk variant NIPA (Fig. 1C) and an increase in total Cyclin-B1 (Fig. 3A), this is explained by the slowed progression through mitosis of cells of the CAD risk genotype, resulting in an increased mitotic index (Fig. 4A).
