Specifically, two pairs of cancer cell lines with and without resistance to Cisplatin (i.e. HONE1-EBV CisR & HK1-LMP1 CisR versus HONE1-EBV & HK1-LMP1 respectively), a drug widely used in treating head, neck and ovarian cancer patients, and one pair of NPC cell lines with and without resistance to AUY922, a drug targeting heat shock protein-90 (HSP90), were tested. This evidence concerns the gene PDLIM7 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
