RAD51 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Another finding is that prolonged treatment with the Hsp90 inhibitor lead to a complete loss of Rad51, as seen in Figure 7, which is in accordance with the published literature [50–52] showing that Hsp90 inhibition by 17-AAG down-regulates Rad51 in NSCLC [52] and prostate [50] carcinoma cells.
