Two main scenarios were considered: (1) clinical variables relevant to CAD such as age, gender, body mass index (BMI), high density lipoprotein (HDL) over low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol ratio, current smoking, diabetes, and hypertension, as well as blood-based biomarkers such as C-reactive protein (CRP) and creatinine as predictors; and (2) information on 55 genetic variants in addition to the variables used in scenario 1. Here, CRP is linked to coronary artery disorder.
