Tumour cell proliferation was significantly decreased in the Tspan5-overexpressiing group versus in the control group (P<0.001), as revealed by Ki67 staining, whereas tumour cell apoptosis did not appear to have any difference between the two groups (P>0.05), as demonstrated by activated-caspase 3 staining (Figure 3B).
