The serum NDKA levels were found elevated in CRC patients (median 57.76 pg/mL; IQ range 48.19–71.84 pg/mL) compared with healthy controls (median 44.69 pg/mL; IQ range 35.74–53.18 pg/mL), resulting in statistically significant differences (Mann–Whitney U-test, p = 0.002; Fig. 1). The gene discussed is NME1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
