In total, significant association of leprosy was detected with 18 polymorphisms assigned to eight genes: HLA-DR-DQ, receptor-interacting protein kinase 2 (RIPK2), tumor necrosis factor superfamily member 15 (TNFSF15), coiled-coil domain containing 122 (CCDC122), LACcase containing domain 1 (LACC1), nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain containing 2 (NOD2), Rab32 protein (RAB32), and IL-23R [81,82]. This evidence concerns the gene LACC1 and leprosy.
