To further investigate the role of SERPINA3 in melanoma pathogenesis and prognosis, we used tissue microarray (TMA) containing 411 melanocytic lesions (including 25 normal nevi, 20 melanoma in situ, 228 primary melanomas and 138 metastatic melanomas) and immunohistochemistry to evaluate the expression of SERPINA3 and its relation to clinicopathologic factors and patient survival. The gene discussed is SERPINA3; the disease is in situ carcinoma.
