During a stroke, activation of astrocytes and microglia rapidly strengthen, promote the production of cytokines (including IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α and other proinflammatory cytokines) through different pathways such as MAPK signal pathway, induce neutrophils and peripheral lymphocyte infiltration in the focal, then further aggravate the central nervous system injury [20,21,22]. This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and stroke disorder.
