By contrast, when levels of mRNA were normalised to TFB1M levels of GAPDH (p = 0.04) and SNCA (p = 0.04) mRNA were significantly higher in BA 8 (Fig. 3d), there was a very strong trend to higher relative expression of GAPDH (p = 0.05) in BA 9 (Fig. 3e) and the relative expression of SNCA (p = 0.03) and NOL9 (p = 0.04) were lower in BA 44 (Fig. 3f) in schizophrenia. Here, GAPDH is linked to schizophrenia.
