Although RNF216 has several interaction partners, such as TLR4, RIP1, TRAF3 and BECN1, our data showed that only BECN1 was significantly upregulated in CRC cells in response to RNF216 knockdown, supporting that RNF216 contributes to cancer development by regulating autophagy. Here, RNF216 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
