Immunohistochemical staining for E-cadherin, Occludin, Vimentin, and N-cadherin showed that apigenin treatment increased E-cadherin and Occludin levels, whereas it decreased Vimentin and N-cadherin levels, in both the membranes and cytoplasm of tumor cells as compared to untreated cells (Figure 6A).
