Analysis of publically available clinical breast cancer microarray datasets shows a negative correlation between TGF-β3 mRNA levels and increasing tumor grade [43], and in a large population-based breast cancer cohort, TGF-β3 protein as assessed immunohistochemically, was lower in poorly differentiated tumors than in well- or moderately-differentiated tumors [52]. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB3 and breast carcinoma.
