Intriguingly, 5-Aza-2′-deoxycytidine (decitabine), a potent demethylating agent, reactivates DACH1 in gastric cancer, suggesting that low-dose decitabine combined with traditional chemotherapy may improve the efficiency of treatments against tumors in which DACH1 expression is silenced [50]. This evidence concerns the gene DACH1 and gastric cancer.
