In human, GRM7 gene polymorphisms have recently been associated with autism (Yang and Pan, 2013), schizophrenia (Ohtsuki et al., 2008), attention deficits and hyperactivity (Park et al., 2013), age-dependent auditive deficits (Friedman et al., 2009), although not yet to epilepsies (Goodwin et al., 2000). The gene discussed is GRM7; the disease is epilepsy.
