LOX-1 was first identified as an oxidized LDL receptor on endothelial cells, which induced endothelial dysfunction, atherosclerosis and angiogenesis, but the pathophysiological role of LOX-1 has not been fully understood in the cardiovascular disease yet [1–5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 40]. This evidence concerns the gene OLR1 and endothelial dysfunction.
