OLR1 and cardiomyopathy: We concluded that LOX-1 in cardiomyocytes plays the most important roles in the pathogenesis of DOX-induced cardiomyopathy because LOX-1 deletion results in the improvements in cardiac function, myocardial inflammation and fibrosis and degenerative changes of cardiomyocytes after DOX treatment via alteration of the LOX-1-related signaling pathway.
