CRP and schizophrenia: In the subgroup analysis based on serum studies evaluated by high-sensitive CRP assays, the serum high-sensitivity CRP levels was also significantly higher in patients with schizophrenia than in the controls (SMD = 0.54; 95% CI, 0.20–0.87; p = 1.7 × 10−3) with significant heterogeneity among studies (I2 = 93.2%; p < 0.05).
