Although no genome-wide significant results were found for correlating DNA methylation with any of the metabolic features (BMI, IRI, IRI2, GLU, GLU2, HOMA-IR), highly significant epigenetic associations were observed in our PCOS subjects on multiple reproductive hormones including E2 (Supplementary Table S2), PRL (Supplementary Table S3), and progesterone (Supplementary Table S4). Here, PRL is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
