Although there is no association between miR-200c and ERG expression levels in the MSKCC cohort of human prostate tumor samples based on our analysis, we cannot rule out the possibility that miR-200c expression might be inversely correlated with ERG expression in different cohorts of human prostate cancer samples and thus has a role in TMPRSS2/ERG-dependent prostate cancer development. This evidence concerns the gene TMPRSS2 and prostate carcinoma.
