PPARA and polycystic ovary syndrome: The genes of PPDT-Module 2 and PCOS disease genes are enriched significantly in functional categories and KEGG pathways associated with the pathogenesis of PCOS (Figure 2A, Supplementary Table 3), such as transcription, steroid hormone receptor signaling pathway (GO biological process, BP), steroid binding, lipid binding and steroid hormone receptor binding (GO molecular function, MF), PPAR signaling pathway, Steroid hormone biosynthesis (KEGG pathway).
