However, MUC1 expression in gastric cancer was associated with biologically aggressive phenotypes such as vascular invasion (OR = 1.64, 95% CI: 1.13–2.39, P = 0.009 fixed-effect) and lymph node metastasis (OR = 2.10, 95% CI: 1.20–3.67, P = 0.01 random-effect) (Figures 2(f) and 2(g)).
