A recent pooled analysis of six phase 3 randomized trials involving 2328 men with advanced prostate cancer show differences in cardiovascular risk among men treated with GnRH receptor agonists versus those treated with GnRH receptor antagonists, and provide additional evidence that treatment with GnRH receptor agonists is associated with increased incidence of cardiovascular events in patients with pre-existing CVD8. The gene discussed is GNRHR; the disease is Familial prostate cancer.
