We show in preclinical studies that these two signaling pathways are also important in osteolytic bone metastasis from breast carcinoma [19,33]: ET-1/ETAR and Wnt pathways are active in metastatic cells and in 1833-xenograft model conferring osteomimetic and staminal phenotypes to bone metastasis. The gene discussed is EDNRA; the disease is breast carcinoma.
