Out of the 1,153 patients diagnosed with acute dengue, 516 (44.8%) had serological evidence of primary dengue (positive for DENV IgM in isolation), 471 (40.8%) had secondary dengue (positive for DENV IgG independent of IgM positivity) and 166 (14.4%) patients could not be categorized (NS1 Ag-reactive without DENV antibody test results). This evidence concerns the gene CD40LG and dengue disease.
