Our further experiments revealed that E2F2 was a direct target of miR-31 in gastric cancer cells with evidence that E2F2 was overexpressed in gastric cancer, knockdown of E2F2 expression had similarly suppressive actions to miR-31 expression in gastric cancer cells, and E2F2 expression was inversely associated with miR-31 expression. This evidence concerns the gene E2F2 and gastric cancer.
