However, in the non-metastatic MCF-7 cancer cells and normal MCF-10A cells it actually caused opposite phenotypes, which is similar to those reported in most studies to date, ranging from fibroblasts to a few cancer types, such as pancreatic and lung cancer9, 10 (we have verified that CAP1 is required for the invasiveness in pancreatic cancer cells; unpublished results from our group).
