Our data showed that after overexpression of AIM2 in HCC cells, both of the caspase-1 activation and IL-1β cleavage were significantly upregulated (Figure 3A–3C); while knockdown of AIM2 in HCC cells dramatically suppressed the cleavage of caspase-1 and IL-1β (Figure 3D–3F), which indicated that AIM2 inflammasome was formed and activated in these AIM2 overexpressed cells. This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and hepatocellular carcinoma.
