MECP2 and gastric cancer: Next, MTT (3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide) assay was used to investigate the effect of MECP2 on the proliferation of GC cells; we found that deregulated MECP2 caused lower proliferation of BGC-823 and SGC-7901 at 48 and 72h after transfection (Figure 1E).
