Zinc ribbon domain containing 1 (ZNRD1) has been confirmed to be involved in carcinogenesis and development of multiple cancers, including gastric cancer, leukemia, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, cervical cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma [1–8]. The gene discussed is POLR1H; the disease is esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
