Our findings presented above (Figures 1–3) indicating the ability of LPA to stimulate the activation of HIF1α via Gαi2 taken together with the established role of HIF1α in the regulation of EMT [27–29] point to a signaling paradigm in which the activation of HIF1α by LPA via Gαi2 is involved in induction of EMT in ovarian cancer cells. This evidence concerns the gene HIF1A and ovarian cancer.
