The laboratory studies revealed a hyperproteinemia (93.9 g/l, reference interval 54–75 g/l), a hypergammaglobulinemia (55.5 %, reference interval 8–18 %), a hypoalbuminemia (21.7 %, reference interval 47–59 %), and a decreased albumin/globulin-ratio (0.28, reference interval 0.59–1.11), characteristic features of CanL (Fig. 1). The gene discussed is ALB; the disease is Hypoalbuminemia.
