A primary goal of the experiments reported here was to elucidate complete functional oncogene signatures for a small panel of SUM breast cancer cell lines [12], each of which is known to harbor a driving RTK oncogene activated by amplification (SUM-52/FGFR2, SUM-185/FGFR3, SUM-225/HER2, SUM-190/HER2) [13, 14]. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast cancer.
