The transcription factors included well-known cancer-related factors such as EGR1, FOSL1, HIF1A, JUND, NFKB2, and STATs. These results indicate that transcription factors are important links between cancer and the inflammatory aging process, and are good target molecules in identifying the correlation between cancer and aging, as depicted in Figure 6. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB2 and cancer.
