After identifying the important roles of the 14-3-3ζ/ERK/CREB/LDHA signaling axis in mediating cellular glycolysis, we showed that targeting MEK/ERK pathway in 14-3-3ζ overexpressing DCIS.COM tumors (DCIS.COM.ζ) with AZD6244 significantly inhibited the mammary tumor growth by inhibiting proliferation. This evidence concerns the gene CREB1 and ductal breast carcinoma in situ.
