Thus, our study does not only confirm previous reports on the phosphorylation of ‘wild-type’ tau in the APPswe/PS1ΔE9 mouse model, but also extends these observations to the proteomics level in four different brain regions, inviting further consideration of the mechanisms linking amyloidosis and tau aggregation in animal models of AD, as previously discussed [31].
