However, more recently cytosporone B and some structurally-related compounds have been identified as NR4A1 ligands [14, 15, 17] and studies in this laboratory have also identified C-DIMs as NR4A1 receptor ligands and these compounds act as NR4A1 antagonists that inhibit cancer cell growth and survival by directly targeting nuclear NR4A1 [14–17].
