Recently, another study by Garnelo et al. showed that the density of tumor-infiltrating B cells in HCC correlated with the frequency and activation of tumor T cell and natural killer (NK) cells; depletion of B cells in mice significantly enhanced the growth of murine hepatoma cell lines and reduced CD4+ T cell activation, including granzyme B production [24]. The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
