As shown in supplemental Table 1, although HBP1, EZH2, and p21 were all up-regulated in some brain cancers, such as astrocytoma, ependymoma, and glioblastoma, HBP1 was significantly down-regulated in more cancers compared with their normal or non-cancerous tissues at the mRNA level, such as breast cancer, colorectal adenocarcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, lung adenocarcinoma, lung squamous cell carcinoma, and pancreatic cancer, whereas EZH2 was significantly up-regulated in these cancers, further confirming the negative correlation between HBP1 and EZH2. Here, HBP1 is linked to breast carcinoma.
