LGR4 and prostate carcinoma: LGR4 has been reported to function in mammary gland development and mammary stem cells by activating Sox2 via the Wnt/β-catenin/Lef1 signaling pathway [36] and MYC proto-oncogene is frequently deregulated in prostate cancers, activating genetic programs that orchestrate biological processes to promote growth and proliferation [37].
