Compared to those with no DMARD treatment in the year before uveitis onset, the risk of uveitis was significantly decreased by methotrexate (hazard ratio [HR] 0.63, p = 0.022), by TNF inhibitors (HR 0.56, p = 0.001) and by a combination of the two (HR 0.10, p = 0.001).
