To determine whether high-resolution microSPECT/CT imaging could be used to follow the evolution of an intratumoral VSV-mIFNβ-NIS infection (i.e., the expansion and conflation of intratumoral infectious centers), VSV-mIFNβ-NIS was again administered to immunocompetent BALB/c mice bearing subcutaneous MPC-11 plasmacytomas and microSPECT/CT images were collected from each mouse at multiple timepoints thereafter (24, 48, and 72 hours), always over a period of 25 minutes starting 1 hour after intraperitoneal administration of 500 μCi 99mTcO4−.
