For polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR), two SNPs in the HLA region reached genome-wide significance: rs3096702 (OR=1.5 (95% CI: 1.3–1.8), P=2.0 × 10−8) and rs6910071 (OR=1.6 (95% CI: 1.3–1.8), P=2.7 × 10−8) located upstream of Notch4 and in C6orf10, respectively (Fig. 2c,d, Table 3 and Supplementary Figs 4 and 5). This evidence concerns the gene TSBP1 and polymyalgia rheumatica.
