More importantly, CYR61 expression is significantly correlated with N category (lymph node metastasis) (p=0.052) and TNM stage (remote metastasis) (p=0.001), but not with T category (p=0.103) or tumor size (p=0.308) (Table 2), suggesting that CYR61 functions specifically in GCA metastasis, but not tumor growth. This evidence concerns the gene CCN1 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
