LACTB and susceptibility to pneumonia measurement: In a cohort of 79 patients with E. coli and K. pneumoniae bacteraemia mainly from urinary source, patients treated empirically with a beta-lactam/beta-lactamase inhibitor had a higher but not statistically significant mortality compared to those who received other types of antibiotics (6 [38%] vs. 10 [18%], P = 0.06).
