Six proteins including retinol-binding protein 4 (RBP4), transthyretin (TTR), gelsolin, haptoglobin, complement factor B (CFB) and CD5 antigen-like protein (CD5L) were identified to play imperative roles in lipid metabolism and inflammatory processes as a consequence of hypercholesterolemia.
