Somatic activating mutations in Shp2 have been demonstrated to be linked to hematologic disorders (e.g. juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, acute myeloid leukemia, and acute lymphoid leukemia)4, and several types of solid tumors (e.g. lung adenocarcinoma, colon cancer, neuroblastoma, glioblastoma, melanoma, and breast carcinoma)5. Here, PTPN11 is linked to hematologic disorder.
